Cleaning glass in your gas fireplace

How to clean Standard Glass:

Clean the glass before using the fireplace. Use DRU Window cleaner 1 or equivalent alcohol-based glass cleaner. The glass can be continuously cleaned with this type of cleaning agent. For stubborn dirt that cannot be removed with window cleaner type 1, DRU Window cleaner type 2 can be used.

Clear View glass: Clean the glass before use with DRU window cleaner type 1. Then cleanse with type 2 cleanser and repeat with type 1. After about 8 hours of operation (or earlier if there is a coating on the glass), the glass must be cleaned again. Use type 1 cleanser. If there is stubborn dirt, window cleaner type 2 can be used. Ongoing cleaning should always be done with original DRU cleaners so as not to damage the Clear View film on the glass. Type 1 window cleaner is alcohol-based and degreasing. Type 2 is a mild polish that cleans more strongly than the purely alcohol-based type 1. Always finish with type 1 window cleaner so that all finger marks and other things that can burn are removed. Feel free to use cloth gloves (included in the DRU cleaning kit) if it is necessary to touch the glass when reassembling. Be aware that a lack of convection grates in the body, an incorrectly adjusted burner or anything else that can cause too high a temperature on the glass can damage it so that cleaning is no longer possible.
