GAS FIREPLACE INTERIOR
Tastes and preferences are different, even when it comes to gas fireplaces.
With a DRU gas fireplace, you design your own fireplace down to the smallest details.
In addition to the different types of burners that create different flame patterns/flame images, you can also design the interior of the fireplace itself.
What is DU’s ceramic firewood made of
Although ceramic firewood looks like real logs, branches, and twigs, it is made from a ceramic material that is found in many components used in industry.
In contrast to the ceramic material found in the porcelain used in the household, the ceramic firewood used as decoration in gas boilers is more robust and less fragile. Therefore, it can withstand years of repeated use without losing its inherent strength.
Also, due to its ceramic composition, it doesn’t give off stains when it comes into contact with real flames, day after day.
When you buy a gas fireplace with ceramic firewood, you can be sure of a beautiful and durable heat source with a beautiful flame pattern for many years to come.
Interior for gas fireplace consists of the following:
Ceramic Firewood
Ceramic firewood in brown or white (similar to birch firewood). It is used exclusively as decoration. It is very difficult to distinguish from real wood wood because of its structure, color and painted patterns. The ceramic pieces of wood are placed around the flame in the gas fireplace to get the experience of natural flames. The wood is made of ceramic material and therefore does not burn, and therefore it does not need to be replaced. The brown ceramic firewood is included in all our fireplaces. All our Maestro and Passo fireplaces are equipped with Dynamic Flame Burner burners® , and here you can only use the brown ceramic firewood. All Metro, Lugo and Cosmo fireplaces are equipped with Vario Burner burners , and here it is in some cases possible to choose between either brown or white ceramic firewood and either stone or glass bottom.

Stone
As an alternative, we also offer a variety of stone bases for your gas fireplace. All of them are used exclusively as decoration. If you choose our anthracite-coloured glass tiles, the reflection in the glass will give the fire more depth. There are two more alternatives, namely white or gray stones. Both types of stone will create a lightness and elegance in the fireplace interior, where the back panel is otherwise often kept in slightly darker colors.

Is it safe to change the location of the wood in the gas fireplace?
You should always ask your DRU approved gas fireplace dealer if it is safe to change the interior.
Most modern gas fireplaces are fitted out by an authorised plumber who is certified to work with gas and has a gas certificate. The installer will also place the ceramic firewood. This gives you the most realistic flame image and guarantees the best possible heating performance.
Once the plumber has installed the gas fireplace, a function check is carried out to ensure that the gas fireplace meets the applicable rules for the safe and correct use of gas. These rules and laws are contained in the gas regulations, which can be found at the Danish Safety Technology Authority, which, among other things, works with control and supervision in electricity, plumbing and consumer products.
