ECOdesign 2022
In order to improve energy efficiency and reduce energy consumption, the EU requires Ecodesign energy labelling of energy-consuming and energy-related products. Products covered by the rules must comply with minimum requirements for energy efficiency, requirements relating to other significant environmental conditions and, if applicable, requirements for function and quality. Vento products meet all requirements in terms of Ecodesign and legal requirements in Denmark, Norway and Europe. This ensures a high environmental quality that lasts for many years. In addition to this, Vento Nordic’s products are CE marked, which means that the products are manufactured and inspected in accordance with a common European standard, including environment and safety.

Eco-design is an exciting and important approach to the design and production of products. It is about minimizing the environmental impact of products throughout their life cycle – from the extraction and processing of raw materials, through production and use, to reuse or disposal.
The Danish Energy Agency is responsible for implementing and enforcing the energy requirements for products. They have an informative website that covers many aspects of energy requirements for products. It contains legislation, guidelines, as well as resources for manufacturers, importers, retailers, installers, and consumers.
The website also includes a FAQ section on household and energy products. This section is incredibly useful for getting answers to questions about how products should be labelled, which products are subject to the requirements, and what you as a consumer should be aware of when buying products.
There is also information about the EPREL product database, which is a central database where all energy-labelled products must be registered. This is an important resource for both producers and consumers, as it provides an overview of the energy efficiency of products and contributes to transparency in the market.
Energy labelling of buildings is another important topic covered on the website. Here you can find information on how buildings should be labelled, what requirements apply and how to find an energy consultant.
The website also provides information on the cost of energy labelling, energy labelling legislation, supervision and control, as well as resources and tools. This information is very valuable for anyone who works with products that are subject to energy requirements.
All in all, the Danish Energy Agency’s website provides a comprehensive and in-depth insight into eco-design and energy requirements for products in Denmark. It is an invaluable resource for anyone who wants to understand and implement eco-design principles in their product development and production processes. Or want to buy products that have the right labeling.
